Sacred Spaces
Do you sometimes feel a need to go somewhere and take a deep breath, reflect on the day, remember who you are or connect with God? Welcome to Sacred Spaces! In their 2023 report Exploring the Sacred, Springtide Research Institute defined sacred as “those things, places, or moments that feel special and set apart from others–experiences that evoke a sense of wonder, awe, gratitude, deep truth, and/or interconnectedness.”
Sacred spaces can be anywhere, and this map of campus highlights locations near classes and residence halls that just might serve as places set apart where you can simply be and have room to wonder. You’ll also find some links on this page for resources to use while you’re in these Sacred Spaces. From blessings to guided meditations to poems and prayer practices, our hope is that one or more of these resources will be of support as you take time for yourself and the sacred journey that you’re on.
