Midland University will host the first segment of its 2023-24 Speaker Series on Wednesday, November 1st, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Olson Student Center.
Future Ready – The Impact of AI on Your Career features five panelists who are experts in the fields of banking, manufacturing, medicine, education, and technology and will converse about the implications of AI on their respective fields. The event is free and open to the public.
Panelists include:
Dr. Ryan Cameron – VP of IT and Innovation for Children’s Nebraska and founder of Creighton University’s Idea Hub and Bright Foundry, LLC Children’s. Cameron is an alum of the American College of Education and the author of two books.
Kimberly Ingraham-Beck – Computer Science Educator and eSports coach with Gretna Public Schools. Ingraham-Beck is president of the Metro Omaha chapter of the Computer Science Teachers Association and VP of the Nebraska Schools eSports Association.
Chase Nuzum – Data scientist with Valmont Industries. Nuzum has expertise in data-driven applications and his collaboration with data professionals has uncovered actionable insights through cutting-edge algorithms.
Laurel Oetken – Executive Director with Tech Nebraska. In her role, Oetken works to foster a diverse and inclusive technology workforce and advocates for pro-growth, tech-focused policies in Nebraska.
Erin Saxby – VP in Technology, First National Bank of Omaha. Saxby is the leader of Enterprise Platforms, Data Engineering, and Data Operations and is an advocate for the potential of AI to reshape industries, customer interactions, and experiences.
