Program Outcomes

Through relevant courses, students learn the fundamentals and assessment methods for determining how data can be used to drive strategic decision-making through a technical approach to data analytics. The program establishes the critical elements of data management, data mining, data structures and overall analytical visualization. Developing the foundational approach to understanding data, and how to build analytical models and visualize it for data storytelling, is the core objective of this program.

Students in the Applied Data Analytics Certificate will:

1. Mine, prepare, manage, and evaluate data to meet business needs.
2. Represent data visually in a way that is helpful to management and aids in decision-making.
3. Advise stakeholders on the selection and interpretation of predictive models and forecasts for strategic decision-making.

Curriculum & Learning Environment

Classes start every summer and our program modules run from Monday through Sunday, with the bulk of assignments due on Sunday to allow students to plan around their demanding work schedules.
