Education Areas of Emphasis
An area of emphasis with a Master of Education in Leadership in Teaching and Learning or as a standalone endorsement is essential in the education world because it allows practicing teachers to focus their attention on a specific teaching area. By focusing that attention, teachers with an endorsement or certificate have the opportunity and the newfound skills to improve their students’ achievement, and can provide opportunities for teachers looking to move up on the pay scale or take on new roles inside their school or school district.
Please note: Endorsements offered at the graduate level are based on the Rule 24 Standards for the State of Nebraska. Nebraska endorsements may or may not be eligible to be added to out-of-state teaching certificates. Teachers seeking to add an endorsement to their out-of-state teaching certificate must consult with their state’s Department of Education to confirm endorsement and certification requirements in their state.
