Master of Athletic Training
At Midland University, we believe sports help students learn lasting life lessons and build character. With 33 varsity sports in the NAIA, Midland is home to Nebraska’s largest athletic department and more than 900 student-athletes. Our athletic training students will have hands-on training in various team and individual sports, allowing diverse and comprehensive educational and clinical experiences.
Midland University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), located at 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3184. The program will have its next comprehensive review during the (2023-2024) academic year.
The Master of Athletic Training program’s mission is to provide future Athletic Training professionals with the knowledge, skills, and practice to be successful in a wide range of professional settings.

This graduate-level Strength and Performance Coaching (SPC) Certificate program is designed for coaches, health care professionals, or physical educators who want to advance their knowledge and skills to implement high-quality strength and conditioning programs.
Within this SPC Program, the student will learn through practical application. Our faculty will facilitate your progress as you advance and grow your expertise within this field. In addition to improving your understanding of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and designing effective programs, you will apply these concepts with your current team or with prospective clientele (i.e. private training, youth, master’s athletes, etc.). This certificate will not only provide your team or client with the ability to meet their goals but will enable them to reach new feats that seemed impossible or unrealistic.
