Midland University’s Biology Program helps students understand the essential concepts and principles of biology with an emphasis on the individual’s responsibility in maintaining the balance of nature. Understanding biology is a life-long endeavor, and the Midland Biology Department strives to provide the basis for a continuing interest in the living world.
With courses designed to emphasize critical thinking skills and active learning, Midland Biology students gain practical experience through laboratory practice.
As a Midland Biology major, you will become fully prepared to enter graduate school, professional programs such as medicine and dentistry, secondary education, business, and many other careers. In preparation for your post-graduate work, you are also able to tailor your studies by choosing a track in Pre-Med, Pre-Physician Assistant, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Dental, Pre-Veterinary, Pre-Occupational Therapy, or Pre-Environmental Science. Midland’s Biology Department has enjoyed placing students in graduate, medical, dental, and other professional programs.
