Paths to Earn a Midland Scholarship

Midland University creates a personalized scholarship package for each student to honor and acknowledge their individual gifts and talents, beginning with an academic base award calculated by high school GPA. Focused on the student-experience, Midland awards one all-inclusive scholarship that lives within one of the pathways below. When students are passionate about or qualify for more than one, the primary interest will be determined before a custom financial aid offer is created. On-Campus and Off-Campus Employment

Midland University offers on-campus employment, also known as Work-Study, to all students. Getting started is simple; you just need to apply for a position through the Handshake job board on Midland University’s Career Studio page and be hired by the position supervisor.

Typical work assignments range from three to seven hours per week. Besides providing additional finances, on-campus employment offers students an opportunity to gain professional experience with positions offered in administrative and faculty offices, the library, residence halls, and campus maintenance.

Off-campus employment is also readily available for Midland students. The Fremont community and surrounding areas have long been very supportive of Midland and offer our students numerous part-time employment opportunities. Off-campus opportunities can be found on Midland University’s Career Center page, as well.

Nelnet Payment Plan

Midland University is pleased to help families enroll in an interest-free payment plan to split each semester’s total educational cost into monthly payments. Enrollment can be set up online through the student’s Warrior Central account at my.midlandu.edu; on the left side under Tools, click “Pay My Account”. Payment plans can be set up as early as June for the Fall semester and as early as December for the Spring semester. Payment plans have a $30 set up fee and only last one semester.

Federal Parent PLUS Loan

Private Student Loan

The Financial Aid Office does not provide a preferred lender list for private education loans. However, we do offer FastChoice as a tool to compare lenders’ interest rates in real-time.
